The 8-pin Multi Connector is used on the P/P+/IQ1/IQ2/IQ3 series to connect to external triggers such as the copal shutter on a technical camera.
Note that the XF and IQ4 both have 12-pin ports while the IQ3, IQ2, and IQ1 have 8-pin ports.
